The Valpo Motorcycle Show returns and will feature “vintage chopper and classic motorcycles.” After a hiatus of several years, the Valpo Motorcyle Show is returning back to the Porter County Fairgrounds with plans to keep returning back every year. The hiatus has not shaken the steadfast resolve of founder Mario Alvarez of  M. & S. Enterprises to keep the event grounded in its grassroots upbringings.  As the event continues to grow he expects larger brands and manufacturers to participate, keeping the core values that the show was built on years ago.
This is a hard-core enthusiast-driven show that relies on its attendees for direction when making decisions, and hopes to continue that for many years to come. The show will be held on Saturday, August 26th from 9am – 3pm, with motorcycle registration at 8am the day of the show. Swap spaces can begin setting up at 6am the day of the show. It’s free to show your bike, but there is a $5 admission fee for everyone. Swap spaces are $20the day of the show, or $15 in advance with a check sent to M&S Enterprises, P.O. Box 2055, Valparaiso Indiana, 46384.

The one-day event showcased motorcycles built by locally renowned customizers to garage-builders and a little bit of everything in between. With the abundance of creativity prevalent on the grounds, it will be easy to find yourself questioning whether you were looking at an attendee’s motorcycle he rode in on or a carefully crafted bike custom-built.

“Great food, vendors, swap meet and copious amounts of comradery are the cornerstones of the event that keeps the energy coursing through the show,” stated Mario. “Many patrons will travel from far and wide to attend the show and stay the weekend,” continued Mario. Attendees will came from all walks of life; young kids on their first motorcycle, fully tattooed tough guys, hipsters, and life-long motorcyclists of every kind. Mario has been hosting Valpo Car Show and Valpo Motorcycle shows for over 30 years.
“We all have something in common, we love motorcycles,” finished Mario. The Porter County Fairgrounds are located at 215 E. Division Rd., Valparaiso, Indiana, 46385. Mario can be reached by calling 219-464-9918 or email at marioalva@frontier.com.
